We're looking for an engaging, creative and skilled Leadership & Management Skills Facilitator to join our Workforce Development Team. In this influential role, you'll help design, deliver and continually improve a range of leadership and management programmes that align with our Trust priorities, The Christie Leadership & Management Competency Framework, and our Inclusive Culture Strategy. You'll work closely with colleagues across the Workforce Development Team and the Engagement & Organisational Development team to help embed purposeful and compassionate leadership behaviours across the organisation.

You'll be someone who brings curiosity and a passion for people. This role is: is full-time, Band 6 (job matching pending) and is a hybrid role based at our Withington site and home working. Fixed term for 12 months, 37.5 hours/week.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties:

Design, plan and deliver engaging leadership and management development sessions using face-to-face, virtual, blended and digital methods.

Use experiential, dynamic and group-centred facilitation approaches to support reflective practice and positive behavioural change.

Align all learning content with The Christie Leadership & Management Competency Framework and Trust priorities.

Evaluate programmes by collecting, analysing and reporting on participation and demographic data to ensure inclusive access and identify under-represented groups.

Adapt learning content based on evaluation findings, participant feedback, research and national NHS leadership requirements.

Design inclusive and accessible learning experiences that support diverse groups, including colleagues with specific learning needs or those who are harder to reach.

Deliver training on culture, relationships, people dynamics, systems and structures to support healthy team and organisational functioning.

Engage, motivate and influence participants at all levels through interactive, compassionate and challenging facilitation.

Provide guidance and support to colleagues to help them identify the most appropriate development opportunities based on their needs and goals.

Collaborate with colleagues across Workforce Development and Engagement & OD Teams to continually enhance our leadership and management development offer.

The Christie is one of Europe's leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan, deliver, and evaluate interactive, learner-centred training sessions to meet leadership and management development needs within the Trust, following agreed frameworks and guidance.

2. Deliver training in a variety of settings, including face to face and on-line, using contemporary facilitation and group development skills, adapting learning to groups needs and requirements.

3. Work with colleagues to identify training needs and recommend appropriate development opportunities for all Christie staff.

4. Contribute to the design of training approaches that are inclusive and accessible to meet the needs of all stakeholders, including hard to reach groups, and groups with specific learning needs. Report outcomes to OD/Education leads.

5. Facilitate groups and individual sessions which require interactive teaching techniques, specialist knowledge, highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to enthuse, inspire and challenge a range of colleagues including senior staff medical, nursing, AHP and managerial groups

6. Participate and contribute to leadership and management development forums within the Trust to share learning and support continuous improvement.

7. Facilitate conversations and development that supports people to reflect on relationships, culture, systems, and group dynamics.

8. Liaise with suitable external suppliers as required to support programme delivery, within agreed procurement arrangements.

9. Design and deliver tailored training sessions on leadership and management topics, including those that may involve sensitive or complex issues, as requested by teams or as part of organisational initiatives to promote key skills and behaviours. Ensure appropriate follow-up and signposting to further resources where needed.

10. Collect, monitor and analyse data to enable the development of reports, presentations and training events, and to support evaluation of interventions, to facilitate ongoing improvement.

11. Identify target audiences for leadership and management programmes and actively promote these sessions to ensure engagement from under-represented groups and relevant stakeholders. Work collaboratively to raise awareness of key initiatives and support uptake of training opportunities that enhance skills development across the organisation.

12. Monitor and analyse participation data for leadership and management programmes to identify trends in uptake and highlight under-represented groups. Take proactive steps to address disparities by promoting sessions to relevant teams and stakeholders, ensuring equitable access to development opportunities across the organisation

13. Analyse evaluation data, research, national policies and guidelines and theoretical developments and recommend options for enhancing our training programmes, practices and services accordingly. Prepare reports as required to support organisational learning and update relevant committees.

14. Maintain knowledge of current research and development in the field of Leadership, Management culture and inclusivity. Keep abreast of national guidance and requirements and contribute to updates of relevant policies and frameworks. Apply relevant learning into practice.

15. Represent the Workforce Development Team, and OD Team at meetings and events, when required. This can include presentation to small or large groups.

16. Contribute to improving quality and supporting equality and diversity, adapting content to meet the needs of different stakeholders.
