Job summary

Main duties of the job

To work closely with the nurse led oral SACT team and other members of our multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that Christie patients have access to their medicines that is timely and closer to home.

To conduct patient reviews against SACT regimen protocols, taking into account blood results, toxicity assessments, and where required, medicines information and education needs.

To contribute to medicines education resources.

To contribute to data collection and audit for service improvement.

To develop the service to enable medicines access across all Christie sites. This includes liaison with a variety of teams and specialities across the Trust.

To be a strong team player with effective interpersonal, communication and organisational skills as well as a keen interest and enthusiasm for patient focussed services and continual improvement.

To contribute to the wider clinical pharmacy service as defined in the job specification.

The post holder will be based at the Christie Withington site, however, may be required to undertake roles and travel across the area served by The Christie.
