As part of our expanding services, we have a permanent Band 6 vacancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating service delivery on Palatine Ambulatory Care and Withington Ward.
This is a hybrid unit consisting of 4 inpatient beds and 8 outpatient spaces for our Ambulatory patients. However we are always looking at ways to expand our Ambulatory service further and have recently opened up our services to other areas of the Hospital.
Ambulatory care is providing treatments that would have previously been given as an inpatient in an outpatient facility. This is done with use of an Ambulatory pump and a lot of patient education by our highly skilled Nursing team. The Ambulatory aspect of the unit is Nurse-led.
Applications welcome from enthusiastic, motivated nurses who are flexible, display initiative and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience in Haematology or Oncology essential, teenage and young adult (TYA) nursing desirable. However, full training will be provided within a recognised framework in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, The Christie Policies, working in a JACIE accredited environment.
Working hours are 24/7 at 07:30 to 20:00 or 20:00-07:30 over 7 days, including bank holidays, with some additional shifts varying from 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm.

The role would include not just clinical aspects but managerial aspects too.
