Job summary
When departments have planned and unplanned gaps in rosters and can't be filled by substantive staff, bank workers work flexibly to cover ad hoc shifts across the organisation. Acting as the Trusts frontline defence before shifts are escalated to agencies. The temporary staffing team will provide an essential service in managing bookings, recruiting both internal & external workers, ensuring training compliance is maintained & providing support to managers & bank workers. Where bank can't fill, they will then escalate to agency and ensuring that suppliers fill urgent ad hoc shifts following the Trusts agency booking procedure.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Administrator in the Temporary Staffing Team, applications are invited from motivated staff that share our passion & understand the benefits of using workforce management systems and payroll and want to be an integral part of our team.
You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for staff & Managers and will be Responsible for engaging with new and existing employees to ensure they are fully supported at all times and made aware of the Temporary staffing, eRostering & workforce processes including essential training, performance development reviews and providing appropriate access to all required systems and information. And to provide training and support to trust staff, managers, bank workers and colleagues on the BankStaff and Employee Online booking systems, and bank and agency processes. You will be required to ensure that staff registered with the temporary staffing service understand their responsibilities and work to the standards of conduct expected, and escalating issues of concern to the eRostering & Temporary Staffing Manager. You will also support all recruitment processes for sourcing additional temporary staffing and all administrative tasks utilising all workforce systems as appropriate including NHS Jobs, ESR, eRostering systems including Bankstaff and to agreed processes and timescales.
