Job summary
This fixed term post will play an important role in the identification, development and implementation of systems for the delivery and management of medical devices training and competencies across the Christie.
A key part of this project will include an evaluation of current processes, and presenting an options appraisal and proposal for the future service. This will include assessment of current working practices, and identifying proposals for change. The postholder will work with a range of stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of current processes, exploring options for the transformation of these where required.
A key outcome from this project will be the development of a project proposal to be submitted to the Trust outlining the direction of the service and its future needs. The successful candidate will be expected to support the development and delivery of business cases to support projects which set out specific requirements, clear objectives and benefits to support any future investment.The successful candidate will have a track record of leadership in managing projects and will provide expertise, direction and support to the team in reviewing our medical devices training and education processes.
Main duties of the job

OPERATIONAL
Contribute to promote and support for the Trusts Medical Devices training management system ensuring that records are readily available for audit purposes Contribute to the development of Trust Policy on training in medical devices. This will involve having current knowledge of statutory regulations Holds a delegated budget in relation to this project Responsible for meeting, liaising, and collaborating with key education and training stakeholders across the Trust, with the formulation and adjustment of plans or strategies within education Working alongside the Clinical Skills Manager, contribute to the evaluation of training provision, identifying skills gaps and contributing to continued improvements, quality assurance of training and quality of training provision Contribute to the writing, and reviewing of education and training procedures relevant to the safe use and clinical application of medical devices Work closely with other members of the wider Trust team to develop integrated processes in relation to all medical devices (including working closely with the POCT team) Work closely with relevant teams on Learning Needs Analyses related to medical devices training
