An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to become a part of the Patient Transport department here at The Christie. The successful candidate will receive thorough training and will develop professional skills to provide a support service to the trust's patients.

As a Patient Transport Admin Clerk, you will be trained to be a valuable member of our team, providing support such as booking transport for a patient to attend their appointment and liaising with our transport providers to keep the patients informed of their wait times. You will have a responsibility of communicating with patients and professionals, both face to face and over emails and telephone. The post will rotate on three different shift patterns between the hours of 08:00 and 19:00.

Main duties of the job
The main purpose of the role is to plan and coordinate non-emergency transport across the trust for patients and non-patient activity to and from the Trust.
To facilitate the efficient running of the transport service ensuring the correct vehicle suits the requirements of the patient.
To work in partnership with all areas of the Christie and external agencies providing advice and assistance with due respect and courtesy.
