Job summary

The Christie NHS Trust's Digital Service welcomes applications for an exciting Business Analyst. The right person for the role would be customer-centric, have demonstrable experience of process analysis and system improvement, including the ability to scope and design changes to systems and processes for clinical and non-clinical services with a view to optimising and transforming how we deliver safe care.

Main duties of the job

The role will take responsibility for specifying functional and business requirements of various aspects of the Trust Informatics Programme to ensure that commissioned business solutions and systems meet the needs of the Trust and wider stakeholders.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive business analysis service adhering to, policy, performance management and governance frameworks within the Programme Management Office (PMO). The role brings together aspects of business analysis, clinical data design and implementation in such a way that the post holder can have a significant positive impact on the organisation.

Additionally, the post holder will support project delivery of improvement outcomes linked to the PMO objectives, by taking shared responsibility for improvements and delivery in specific sub work-stream areas, under the supervision of the PMO Team Managers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Involvement in the strategic planning of business and systems analysis, to produce a comprehensive Trust-wide picture of the people, process and technology required to deliver an Enterprise class Informatics capability.
  • Invovlement in the collection of functional requirements which suppliers can work from to deliver systems which meet the needs of the Trust
  • Analysing and documenting existing business processes and providing updates in response to identified changes
  • Documenting workflows and results of business analysis and obtaining sign-off from the business on the specifications
  • Involvement in the design of new or replacement business processes, facilitating more efficient working practices in combination with the introduction of supporting technology
  • Eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis
  • Facilitating stakeholder workshops to gather future business requirements
