Job summary

The post holder will be the lead contact for marketing activities on national study days, conferences and education programmes. They will be responsible for the promotional activities related to the events programme, using their own judgement on when to refer to the Senior Education Events and Programme Coordinator. The role will focus on event marketing requirements with some other administrative support as required. There will be opportunities to collaborate with other teams across the School of Oncology (SoO) to offer expertise and assistance on any marketing actions.

The post holder will be a lead contact for marketing activities, campaigns and systems, analysing the engagement and data analytics throughout.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, and a proactive can-do attitude alongside a real enthusiasm for marketing within an event setting.

Main duties of the job

Marketing

  • Maintaining customer relationship management database (Goldvision)
  • Creation of event registration webpages using Eventbrite
  • Creation of promotional materials (flyers, emails and webpages) using software including MS Publisher and Goldvision software
  • Create and maintain content for the department's social media channels (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn)
  • Undertake market research and competitor analysis related to events programme
  • Printing and display of promotional posters throughout the hospital
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns (post, email, social, phone and print advertising)

  • Advertise events on external websites
  • Weekly update of the event slides for the education centre
  • Weekly research into bookings in the education centre to see if there are any meetings we can promote our events
  • Collate and track key analytical marketing data that can be shared with the team monthly.
  • Producing of monthly marketing analytical reports
  • Produce schedule of marketing activity across calendar year to highlight all national days and key campaigns
  • Training of new starters within the team on CRM system, Hootsuite, Eventbrite and Social Media platforms.
  • Reviewing of marketing processes to ensure clear guidelines and consistency for the team to follow
  • Assistance on site with any filming or production associated with an event
  • Work with Senior Coordinators and Business Manager to identify annual marketing KPI's and objectives

  • Ensure all event registration processes are up to date and accurate
  • Maintain tracking of National and International delegates for all events.
  • Ensure General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is adhered to throughout all activity.

Communication

  • To be the first point of contact (telephone, direct and written) within the team. Responding to enquiries from colleagues and external organisations, in a professional, timely and customer-focussed manner
