Job summary
Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Cardiologist at Leighton Hospital, Crewe. This is a fixed term post June 2026 - June 2027 due to sabbatical leave.
The Cardiology Department at MCHFT is made up of an innovative and dynamic team who are keen in developing and expanding service provision.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited from those with a subspecialty interest in cardiac imaging but applicants with heart failure subspecialty, Inheritable Cardiac Conditions (ICC), bradycardia pacing and general Cardiology are also invited to apply.
Consultants are expected to partake in a half-day weekend ward round on a 1 in 6 basis (0.5PA). During the working week (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm), the department operates a "Consultant of the Day" model on a 1:8 basis. The post does not include any out of hours on-call commitment.
