Job summary

Applications are invited for LED ST1/2 in Emergency Medicine at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate/s will be based at Leighton Hospital in Crewe.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated doctor with an interest in Emergency Medicine to develop their knowledge and skills. The post is offered on a 12-month fixed term, full-time basis and would be suitable for a doctor who has at least completed foundation training.

The doctor will work on the junior doctor rota within the Emergency Department with the 24/7 supervision of experienced ST Higher and Specialty Doctors and Consultants.

The successful applicant/s would be supported to attend local resident doctor teaching sessions with a view to this allowing progression to their next career move.

Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise will be required for this post.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate/s will be based at Leighton Hospital, Crewe in the Emergency Department, Division of Medicine and Emergency Care.

The post holder/s will full participate on the resident doctor Emergency Department rota, including night shifts and weekends covering all areas of the department, seeing both adult and paediatric patients.

All resident doctors are fully supervised and supported by ST Higher and Specialty Doctors and Consultants.
