Job summary
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Data Warehouse Manager to lead the delivery, support and proactive maintenance of the Trust's Data Warehouse. The role underpins the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to support and improve healthcare delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing the Trust's Data Warehouse across both on premise and Microsoft Azure environments. The post holder will ensure solutions remain secure, reliable and innovative, while keeping abreast of emerging technologies and best practice to shape the future of the Trust's Business Intelligence capability
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job include:
- Lead on the development and maintenance of the Trust's Data Warehouse, managing data feeds, databases, platform environment, system security, planning and technical documentation.
- Provide expertise in T-SQL, SQL Server and Microsoft Azure to support reporting and analytical needs across the Trust.
- Keep up to date with evolving data warehouse, cloud and database technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance the Trust's infrastructure and approach.
- Develop, support and monitor data extraction, transfer, staging and load processes, ensuring high-quality validated data.
- Configure, test and support authentication and security group permissions in line with Trust security policies.
- Develop documentation including configuration records, data flow mappings, SQL code and standard operating procedures.
- Manage and lead a small team, allocating tasks, appraising performance and supporting staff development.
