THERAPY ASSISTANT - Leighton Hospital : Rehabilitation and Inpatient wards

BAND 3 - 37.5 hours

An amazing opportunity has arisen for you to join our innovative, supportive and friendly therapy team at Leighton Hospital, this role will be divided equally between the 2 areas.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated band 3 therapy assistant within the therapy Team.

You will work with both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. We will offer support, training and development opportunities.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Therapy Assistant is to support the qualified Therapists with the implementation of treatment plans and interventions for patients on the wards.

The role will include gathering information from patients or families, following treatment plans, under supervision, providing education and practice in activities of daily living and mobility. The role will require you to assist with moving and handling of patients using appropriate equipment.

Administrative duties will include photocopying and filing, maintaining admission information and completing computer based statistics. There will be a requirement to write in medical notes.
