Job summary

Are you an experienced CCAB qualified strategic finance accountant with extensive expertise in capital programmes, business case development and the delivery of large capital programmes? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to be part of a once in a lifetime £multi million project to build a new hospital at Leighton in Crewe, Cheshire.

You will lead the Healthier Futures Finance Funding & Approvals workstream, reporting to the Programme Director, executing and defining the financial strategy of the Trust & programme and overseeing the programme budget & expenditure.

Main duties of the job

Oversee the project budget, monitor expenditures and ensure accurate financial tracking throughout the scheme's development lifecycle to comply with Trust and NHP reporting exercises.

Manage project finances, aligning capital investments and cash flows to optimise resource allocation and ensure financial sustainability.

Support the Programme Director in the effective development and management of the Programme budget

Support the Chief Financial Officer in deploying a financial strategy to deliver the Healthier Futures Programme.

Provide assurance over the effective financial management of the Programme budget and that of related projects, including overseeing the preparation of summary cost reports for the Programme and project boards

Engage with NHP Finance Business Partners and Cost and Commercial Services to ensure financial

Analyse financial performance metrics, identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimise financial outcomes.

Provide corporate finance support to the project team to help them in making appropriate financial decisions and allocating resources.
