Job summary
This role sits in the the Templates team within Medical Records, reporting directly to the Directory of Services Administrators.
The Clinic Template Coordinator is responsible for working in partnership with the clinical teams to build and maintain Outpatient clinic templates on the Trusts Patient Administration System. This is achieved by liaising with Clinicians, service management teams and other relevant members of staff across the Trust building a positive network supporting the maintenance and enhancement of the clinic templates. These clinic templates allow for outpatient hospital appointments to be managed by the booking teams. This role supports in ensuring that patients are directed to the right clinic and seen by the most appropriate Clinician.
The role also includes creating and amending outpatient appointment letters and associating these to the relevant clinic templates.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be expected to act in a professional manner, adhering to strict information governance guidance and always ensure patient confidentiality. The department are continuously looking to improve the service offered and all members of the team are encouraged to suggest new ideas and ways of working.
There may be times when the successful applicant may be required to work flexibly within the department dependent upon business need and patient demand. Flexibility is expected with regards to working hours to support the service.
