Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cashier to join our Financial Services Team at Leighton Hospital.

The post requires a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and training will be provided for any Trust specific systems. Good numeracy skills and previous experience in carrying out simple accounting duties is essential, together with excellent communication, organisation and time management skills. The successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach with an ability to prioritise their workload

Main duties of the job

Provide a comprehensive cashiering service and clerical support to the Cash Office team, undertaking cashiering duties, work-related correspondence, photocopying, committee room bookings, filing, retrieval of documents, according to the requirements of the service.

Update and maintain receipts and banking records, according to the agreed quality standard, filing essential documents in the appropriate place.

Provide an effective service to the Public, giving help and advice regarding patients travel reimbursements and other general queries. Referring matters onto the appropriate departments where necessary.
