Job summary
Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership's (CCICP's) Musculoskeletal Clinical Assessment and Triage Service (MCATS) are recruiting experienced Advanced Musculoskeletal Practitioner Physiotherapists to join our bank team.
The Bank posts require flexibility to work within our well-established MCATS community or First Contact Practitioner (FCP) clinics at GP practices throughout Mid Cheshire, providing high quality specialist MSK assessments and care.
In February 2018 the MCATS service launched an MSK Single Point of Access (SPA) for Central Cheshire. The MSK Single point of access triages GP referrals to Orthopaedic, Rheumatology and Pain consultants. The MCATS team works closely alongside Consultant, GP, Nursing and Therapy colleagues to support patient pathways and ensure the patients receive the right care first time.
Main duties of the job
The post requires highly specialist triage, assessment and treatment skills to manage complex Musculoskeletal cases to include chronic conditions. You will be expected to have a broad range of advanced practice knowledge and skills to incorporate the medical management of MSK patients and early identification of serious pathology. Evidence from your application must include relevant experience and postgraduate training in Advanced Musculoskeletal Practice.
Posts are available on a bank basis as required to cover the South and Vale Royal Primary Care locations within the Central Cheshire Footprint. You will be expected to work as part of a team with other Advanced MSK Practitioners, GP with Specialist interest in MSK and Advanced Clinical Specialist therapists to support the advancing MSK service and ensure robust evidence based clinical practice is disseminated down through the service.
