Clinical Fellow in General Paediatrics and Education

Job summary
The posts are appointments for specialist trainees in paediatrics as Teaching Fellows (ST6 equivalent and above) for 12 months commencing in September 2026.
The Teaching Fellows posts available have been established to enhance the teaching of medical students in the Trust. These posts will include 50% of the time to be spent on clinical work, including a 0.5 wte contribution to the Medical On Call Rota at middle grade level.
Candidates should have passed all three of the theory exams and clinical exams for the MRCPCH.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will teach and co-ordinate students to ensure that students are able to achieve their learning objectives. There will be close liaison with the Undergraduate Co-Ordinator in the Trust. Half of the post holder's time will be spent on clinical work which will predominantly take the form of clinics or on-call (including out of hours work). The remainder of the week used for teaching undergraduates attending Alder Hey Hospital
