Main duties of the job
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The post holder will work to maintain a high-quality service within a key part of the Operating Theatre Department process. Providing a continuous supply of sterile instruments and supplementary items by receiving / dispatching, transferring and rotating stock in the approved manner.
The post holder will monitor surgical instruments within the process, advising theatre staff of any issues regarding surgical trays / instruments & liaise with the decontamination service provider (Synergy) to resolve any concerns.
The post holder will undertake routine duties under minimal supervision.
Perform general housekeeping duties.
Provide cover for colleague's absence.
Transfer equipment/instrumentation between locations as required.
Support with monitoring and recording of any instruments requiring repair/refurbishment and liaise with external repair providers.
Support with completing Service Reports/CCN's and replacing instruments on trays.
Support with Loan equipment.
