We are looking for an enthusiastic dietitian with paediatric experience or a strong interest in paediatrics to join our Community Paediatric Dietetic team. This Band 6 role may be offered as a Band 5-6 development post depending on your experience.As part of the Community and Mental Health Division at Alder Hey, you will work within a supportive and friendly team of experienced B7 and B6 dietitians, alongside dietetic assistants. This role offers the chance to apply and expand your paediatric dietetic knowledge across a wide range of clinical conditions including tube fed children within a specialist community setting.Your work will include delivering care through clinics, group education sessions, and occasional home or school visits, supporting children and families with diverse nutritional needs.We are committed to your professional growth and offer excellent opportunities for development, including access to relevant courses and product update training

Main duties of the job

  • To provide specialist dietetic services to community patients and their families across Liverpool & Sefton. This includes nutritional assessment, development and implementation of care plans and on-going review of paediatric patients.
  • To provide dietetic management for highly complex paediatric patients with clinical supervision from the specialist dietitians.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of evidence based protocols, standards of care and patient education information within identified areas of paediatric sub specialities.

  • Registered Dietitian with HCPC
  • Evidence of post registration experience
  • Evidence of oral and written communication skills in a breadth of clinical settings
  • Degree or post-graduate qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics

Desirable

  • Demonstrable post registration experience in clinical paediatric dietetics at Band 6 level or in a rotational band 5 role
  • ommencement of validated postregistration training in paediatric dietetics preferably at Masters level
