CLINICAL FELLOW PLACEMENT INPAEDIATRIC RADIOLOGY

This is a great opportunity to work in a world-renowned paediatric centre with internationally recognised Radiologists and Clinicians.

Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust is a major teaching hospital of the University of Liverpool and has been approved as a supra-regional centre for cardiac surgery, epilepsy surgery and major trauma amongst others.

It serves not only the local population of children but is the tertiary and quaternary referral centre for children from Merseyside, Cheshire, parts of Lancashire, Shropshire and North Wales for many sub-specialties of paediatrics.

Main duties of the job

The hospital has approximately 270 beds including day beds for surgery. The paediatric services and expertise within the hospital are considerable and include cardiology, cardio-thoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, audiology, nephrology, respiratory medicine, oncology, orthopaedics and trauma, rheumatology, endocrinology, general surgery and general medicine.

Applications are invited for appointment to Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust for subspecialty training in Paediatric Radiology.

The post will be primarily based at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust. The post is available for a 12-month period, starting from August 2026, but the start date may be flexible for the successful candidate.

The post is open to trainees who will have completed at least 5 years of a Specialist Registrar Training Programme in Radiology by 1stAugust. UK trainees should have obtained CCT by the start date (or be within 3 years post-CCT). All candidates should be eligible for registration with the GMC. For International trainees it would be desirable to have FRCR qualification for entry to the programme. Equivalent qualifications or experience will only be considered if there are no suitable applicants with FRCR qualification. Post-CCT candidates must have proof of CCT.
