Job summary
  We are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our large friendly multidisciplinary team in Audiology at Alder Hey. 
 We are recruiting an Audiometrician who will be responsible for planning and delivering a comprehensive and effective school screening and follow-up service to reception age and year one children from Liverpool, Sefton and West Lancashire.
 The successful candidate must be experienced working with children and able to develop a rapport to obtain reliable screening results. The role involves a range of administrative duties, and the post holder must be confident working with computers and able to demonstrate good I.T skills.
 Excellent communication and team working are essential attributes for this role.
 You will be required to travel around the three specific areas for the post and to any community clinics that are conducting follow up clinics. A driver's licence and independent transport is essential for this post. The post holder will be involved in conducting some of the screening programme in our mobile research unit.

  Main duties of the job
  The post holder will have responsibility for a designated caseload of schools. This includes working independently and without supervision in the school setting adhering to local protocols. 
 The post holder will be involved in conducting some of the screening programme in our mobile research unit. The post holder is expected to manage their own workload, arranging testing in school during term time and catch-up sessions during school holidays. 
 The post holder will be responsible for completing the administration related to the programme and for providing regular updates and audits to monitor performance.
