To support the development, manipulation and analysis of reports and databases relating to medicines procurement and usage to ensure efficient response to commissioner, finance, and pharmacy information requirements.

We have a new, exciting opportunity for an experienced GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician to take up a full time position of Senior Pharmacy Technician - Procurement and Medicines Optimisation . You will join our committed and friendly team to support the delivery of a high quality paediatric medicines procurement service to our patients.
As one of Europe's biggest and busiest children's hospitals, at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust, we treat everything from common illnesses to highly complex and specialist conditions. - oNVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills and BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent
- oRegistered with the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council)

- oBTEC Accredited Checking Technician Qualification
Experience

- Extensive previous experience and knowledge of working in a hospital pharmacy environment.
- Demonstrated experience of maintaining stock control systems
- Collaborative working with members of multidisciplinary team

- Previous experience of purchasing in pharmacy
- Previous experience of completing department projects and audits
- Experience of producing medicines expenditure and cost-saving reports
