Job summary

This position will provide a vital role at the intersection of data engineering and analytics. You will be responsible for bringing robust, efficient, and integrated data models and products to life. You will speak the language of business teams and technical teams, able to translate data insights and analysis needs into models powered by the enterprise data platform. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to blend business acumen with technical expertise and transition between business strategy and data development.

A motivated individual who is passionate about making a difference in healthcare through data management and analytics to drive forward our digital strategy and implement a modern data platform for the organisation would fit well within the team.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and evolving our data platform, currently built on SQL Server and integrating data from clinical systems and other sources. We're in the process of migrating our data engineering workflows to Azure Databricks, and you'll be at the forefront of this transformation.

You'll work closely with the Data Engineering Team, Analytics, Data Science, and wider stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, well-structured, and supports informed decision-making across the Trust. Your work will directly contribute to improving healthcare delivery and meeting both internal and external reporting requirements.

Beyond development, you'll collaborate with key teams including Finance, clinical divisions, and external partners - providing expertise on data management, architecture, and best practices. If you're passionate about data and eager to shape the future of our platform, we'd love to hear from you.
