Liverpool Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) at Alder Hey are looking for three Senior Wellbeing Practitionerto join our team.

Please note this post is for qualified Educational Mental Health Practitioner or Children and Young People Wellbeing Practitioners, with associated registration with BABCP or BPS.

As a Senior Wellbeing Practitioner you will work across a range of educational, healthcare and community settings to provide early intervention/evidence based interventions for children and young people and their families, enabling children and young people to access support in schools.

The postholder will also provide supervision to trainee and qualified Educational Mental Health Practitioners and Children and Young People Wellbeing Practitioners working within the Mental Health Support Teams.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Educational Mental Health Practitioner or Child and Young People Wellbeing Practitioner, with associated registration with BABCP or BPS, and have completed (or willingness to work towards) the Post.Grad diploma Senior Wellbeing Practitioner Programme

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of the Liverpool Mental Health Support Team. As a Senior Wellbeing Practitioner you will work across a range of educational, healthcare and community settings to provide early intervention/evidence-based interventions for children and young people and their families, enabling children and young people to access support in schools.

The post holders will also provide supervision to our Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP's) and Children and Young People Wellbeing Practitioners working within the Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs).

In addition, they may provide consultation, under supervision, to professionals from other services and participate in service development. The proportion of direct clinical work, consultation and service development work undertaken will be negotiated with clinical supervisor and line manager.

About us

Alder Hey MHST is part of the Education Mental Health Team. MHSTs cover both Liverpool and Sefton and currently have links with around 200 schools. Liverpool MHST comprises 4 teams, North, Central, South along with a Transitions Team.

Accommodation

  • Contribute to the development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of the Service Groups operational policies and procedures.
