This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop the Sefton Mental Health Support Team, collaborating face to face with partnership agencies and working closely with the Locality Clinical Lead for Sefton CAMHs as well as leading the Team Around the Schools pilot.

This post will provide strategic oversight to the continued development of Sefton MHST, which includes ensuring the delivery and sustainability of the whole school approach to mental health and emotional wellbeing.

You will provide strategic clinical leadership working alongside the Liverpool MHST strategic clinical lead and work closely with other mental health, education and council partners. The ability to engage with colleagues across organisational boundaries will be essential.

We are looking for a motivated and confident individual with a passion to improve children and young peoples mental health services to take on this position.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be a key member of the Sefton Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Leadership Team responsible for the clinical management of their service in addition to providing clinical supervision to assigned clinicians.

The post will provide clinical, strategic and performance leadership for the MHST, and will also perform responsibilities delegated by the Clinical Lead as appropriate including being responsible for designated areas of service development and leadership tasks - this will be guided by the Clinical Lead and the Service and Trust's vision.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Service Manager and Assistant Service Manager reporting performance to a number of different agencies supporting service delivery via performance management.

Clinically, the post holder will support via clinical supervision and clinical management supervision other members of the service to ensure staff are supported to provide clinical intervention of the highest standard provided by trained, committed staff and guided by the available evidence base.   • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent pre 1996) and registration with HCPC Or A recognised clinical psychology, health or social care qualification and be registered with the appropriate governing body supported by experience at an equivalent doctorate level
  • Post-grad training in a recognised therapeutic speciality and be registered with UKCP/HPC or equivalent Or Clinical Masters Degree or relevant experience at doctorate level or equivalent
  • Further training/study in relation to specialist supervision within CAMHS

  • A recognised and appropriate management training or equivalent
