Job summary
The workload involves the assessment, data acquisition, data processing anddata analysis of children and adults referred to the Movement Analysis Centre, Alder Hey, with gait disorders due to conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, neuromuscular disorders and trauma.
Main duties of the job
- To assist the N.W.M.A.C. team in ensuring that gait analysis equipment is correctlyconfigured for the appropriate data collection sessions and that processed data is ofsuitable quality and quality assured.
- To assist in performing patient tests.
- To assist the N.W.M.A.C. team in processing and managing patient data, including regularbackups.
- To set a high personal standard of work, keeping abreast of advances in knowledge andpractice within the field of motion analysis.Gait Lab Biomechanist - JD Page 2 of 9
- To act in a manner which supports equality and diversity with reference to Trust policiesand principles.
