Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to be Operational Manager for the Gender Service for the North of England. The Children and Young People's Gender Service is a Phase 1 Provider of Gender Services provided in partnership by Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
The postholder will support the management of day-to-day issues in the service and will have responsibility for providing management and leadership to the administrative and clerical teams. The postholder will be responsible for the achievement of key performance targets across the service and will ensure access and waiting times are managed in an efficient and effective way.
Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be well organised, enthusiastic with the ability to problem solve and will be committed to improving services for children, young people and their families.

Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust is a provider of specialist health care to over 275,000 children and young people each year. Alder Hey has a presence in community outreach sites and, in collaboration with other providers, our clinicians help deliver care closer to patients' homes by holding local clinics at locations from Cumbria to Shropshire, in Wales and the Isle of Man.
