To run the outpatient appointment booking service, ensuring all outpatient appointments are made, clinic template maintained and clinic capacity is monitored for specified specialties. To make sure that any variance from service targets are identified and escalated.

Communication
- Responsible for negotiating appointments with parent/carers ensuring that appointment bookings are made within the strict parameters of clinical priority and NHS waiting time standards, also ensuring patient demographic details are checked and amended on the PAS (Meditech) system and complete necessary actions.
- Maintain and enhance an efficient and helpful attitude whilst undertaking all duties.
- Help with the orientation of new members of staff in the department, through providing advice and Buddying support, as required.
- Co-operate in the maintenance of good relationships, communications and teamwork with all disciplines within the department and all departments within the organisation.
