Job summary

We are a community team of paediatric physiotherapists and occupational therapists who work across the Liverpool area.

Our physiotherapy service supports children, young people and their families aged 0-19 who have a neuro-disability and/or developmental delay. The service is delivered in a wide variety of community settings including mainstream and special schools, nurseries, homes and clinics.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a community paediatric physiotherapist (Band 6) to join our team in a permanent role on a full time basis (37.5 hours per week).

You will have access to regular clinical and managerial supervision and be supported by our team which includes a Head of Service, Deputy, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants and Admin support staff.

You will work closely with colleagues in acute physiotherapy and the wider hospital teams and you will have the opportunity to work in an integrated way with our staff in education and social care.

Main duties of the job

To act as an autonomous practitioner within a specialised community paediatric physiotherapy service, providing physiotherapy assessment, treatment and ongoing physical management to children in a range of settings including schools, nurseries, clinics and the home.

To build on previous experience enabling further development of clinical and managerial competencies. Manage own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service, working with and without direct supervision.
