Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Echocardiography Physiologist with established competency in adult echocardiography and a strong desire to develop expertise in (ACHD) echocardiography. This position offers a clear pathway for progression from Band 6 to Band 7 upon the successful completion of predetermined targets.
Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in basic adult echocardiography and be actively working towards BSE or EACVI accreditation. This role presents an exciting training opportunity to further enhance echocardiographic skills, with the successful candidate working alongside the existing congenital heart disease (CHD) team, delivering Level 1 services at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and its satellite centres.
Main duties of the job
T Main Duties: This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop full competency in all areas of ACHD echocardiography. The successful candidate must already demonstrate proficiency in adult echocardiography.
Location: The successful candidate will be primarily based at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital but will be expected to work across satellite sites as required.
Candidate Profile: We are seeking individuals who are passionate about patient and family care, with a strong commitment to influencing the quality of care. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a collaborative approach to supporting the development of nursing and medical colleagues.
Training and Development: This role provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to engage in all aspects of ACHD echocardiography, supported by a comprehensive training plan.
Professional Development: The candidate must be able to provide evidence of ongoing professional development.
Registration: Voluntary registration with the AHCS (Academy for Healthcare Science) or RCCP (Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists) is essential.
Skills and Competencies: The suitable applicant must be able to work effectively under pressure, prioritize their workload efficiently, and demonstrate the ability to work well within a team, including supporting the development of junior staff.
