Main duties of the job
The role requires a Programme Manager
with strong quality improvement and programme management experience in mental
health to support the delivery of nationally commissioned mental health programmes
and associated local projects.
The post-holder will have excellent
engagement skills in order to mobilise regional and local resources and will be
a catalyst for change to improve patient care and reduce health inequalities.
They will work with the Associate Director for Complex Change and Pathway
Transforamtion to lead this programme in collaboration with the Strategic Clincal
Network and other stakholders / networks across the North West Coast.
Delivering projects at scale, the
role will identifying a strategy for sustained roll-out and will ensure key
projects are evaluated. This will likely include supporting the development
and use of innovative tools to support frontline workers and work with clinical
leads to support best practice and innovation in mental health across the
region.
The role will also support the development
of a culture for continuous improvement, restoration and recovery within mental
health services during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

- Working towards or educated to Masters degree level or working at a senior level in a specialist area
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable
- Clinical qualification
- Programme or Project Management qualification such as Prince2, Agile, MSP (Foundation level) or equivalent.
Experience
Essential
- Significant experience within a management role within a network focused organisation
- Comprehensive experience of successfully managing projects within a programme management system.
- Experience of creating and managing ongoing productive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Management and delivery of multi- stakeholder events.
- Experience of writing concise and effective reports for professional forums
- Experienced team leader and line manager.
- Experience in designing and implementing programmes in clinical areas
- Extensive knowledge of specialist areas acquired through clinical and/or post graduate diploma or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of the background to and aims of current mental health policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.
- Have an appreciation of the relationship between the ICS and individual provider and commissioning organisations.
- Experience of managing and motivating a team/virtual team and reviewing performance of the individuals.
