Job summary
Are you an experienced or newly qualified midwife interested in working in a friendly unit with 2100 births. Ormskirk Maternity is part of Mersey west Lancashire teaching Hospital which offers Maternity services to 5800 women per year
We have a number of permanent Band 6 posts available in our Midwifery team at Ormskirk Hospital. Our posts are rotational throughout the maternity service and would give the successful candidate the opportunity to work with us as we move forward in implementing the Ockenden requirements.
An Enhanced DBS with barred lists for both Adults & Children is required for this post.

Main duties of the job
Providing antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care to women and their families

Our inpatient unit at Newton Community Hospital is where patients needing acute hospital beds can continue rehabilitation, freeing up space for more unwell patients. We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.
Specialist Regional Services
We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
