Job summary
This post is for a Senior Clinical Fellow AWR and Advanced Colorectal Cancer in General Surgery to start immediately for a fixed term 12-month position.
This is a whole time post offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Medic to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care in Mersey West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.
The successful candidates will be joining an enthusiastic and forward thinking department comprising of 12 Consultants. The department is currently undergoing growth and considerable restructure and the appointment is essential to this.
The successful candidate will be expected to have full Registration with the GMC at the time of application.
Main duties of the job
The department offers excellent training and development opportunities and the post holders are expected to support the elective and non-elective demand and participate in the daytime and weekend on call rota.The post is offered on the basis that the successful applicant will work flexibly and join the on call rota undertaking General Surgery duties; the rate of resident on call will be 1 in 12 and the successful applicant will be remunerated appropriately for on call work in line with existing.
