We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, with a passion for excellence within the delivery of patient care, to join our Team of Nursing and Medical Staff on the Mersey Regional Plastic Surgery Ward at Whiston Hospital. Professional development is supported within a friendly, dynamic team structure.
Outreach service within Plastic surgery, to allow patients to return home much sooner with the support of the Nurse Specialist. This will be for a specific group of patients who have undergone Dissection and other conditions. This post holder will also support the management of complex dressings in the catchment area and provide education and training to District Nurses.
We provide an excellent service for patients requiring surgery for example breast reconstruction, skin cancer, hand and lower limb trauma. The post holder is designated to assist in the delivery of care alongside other clinical colleagues and safely discharge and support patients at home who have undergone dissection. The post holder will be required to provide advice and support and work closely with skin CNS and members of the MDT.

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
