Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible Advanced Theatre Practitioner's who has the Surgical skills to join our busy, friendly Operating Theatres.

The range of specialties include, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Trauma, Urology, Gynae, Maternity, ENT and Spinal Injuries.

As part of our commitment to student ODP's and Nurses, the post holder will be expected to participate in the orientation, supervision and training of junior staff and students.

Main duties of the job

If you are keen to add to your existing theatre knowledge, and are committed to developing and enhancing the quality of care provided in the Operating Theatre environment, then this is the opportunity for you.

The department provides a 24 hour emergency cover, therefore, there will be shift work, and on call commitment will be required.

You should possess:

- NMC Registered Nurse Part 1

- Registered ODP

We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.

Specialist Regional Services

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
