Are you a newly qualified midwife ? Do you want to work in a friendly unit with approximately 2200 births committed to implementing the Better Births Agenda?
We currently have a number of full time permanent band 5 posts available in our Midwifery team, we offer a comprehensive, supportive preceptorship package overseen by our preceptorship midwife.
Our posts are currently rotational and would give the successful candidate the opportunity to work with us as we move forward in implementing continuity across our service. We currently have one integrated team in post and are now working towards implementing continuity teams across the service.
Main duties of the job
Providing antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care to women and their families

About us
Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital. This includes adults' and children's accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women's and children's services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital.
The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
