Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Nurse with excellent communication skills to work on this Special Haematology Day Unit.
We currently have 2 positions available within the Medical Day Unit team.
We would love an experienced SACT trained nurse to join our team , or a nurse looking for a new challenge and willing to complete the necessary training .

Main duties of the job
Experience
The Medical Day Unit is currently located at Ormskirk hospital and provides specialist treatments for not only Haematology but Gastroenterology, Rheumatology , Nephrology and Endocrinology.
You need to be able to provide and receives complex information, communicating sensitively and confidentially in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
A Staff nurses role with the team varies from day to day, including Cannulation, phlebotomy, access and care of central lines, administration of cytotoxic therapy and supportive treatments.
