Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiatic Physician Associate. The post holder will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary clinical team of a specialty, within Trust policies and guidelines, under the direction of relevant consultants.
Main duties of the job
With appropriate supervision, the post holder will be involved in the initial assessment including taking medical histories; assessing and examining patients; initiating and interpreting investigative laboratory, imaging and diagnostic tests; recommending appropriate patient management and presenting patient data and plans to the wider multidisciplinary team.
The full range of duties will only be undertaken once preceptorship is fully and successfully completed at which point the role will operate and be paid at band 7.
