The Discharge Hospitality Centre is looking to recruit forward thinking, highly motivated Clinical Support Workers 2x 15hrs
The DHC is a busy department that has a throughput of around 50 patients per day, therefore the successful candidate must be able to work with a dynamic team, working at a fast pace.
Main duties of the job
Collecting of patients from the wards under the supervision of the trained nurse.
Ensuring the patients are comfortable in the department, offering refreshments and patient care as requires.
There are some keyboard skills required as booking on the transport system is necessary, training for the booking system is in house.

- Level 3 qualification (e.g. A-Level's, NVQ3) in Health & Social Care OR A good standard of education to A-Level standard and the agreement to undertake the relevant Level 3 qualification on appointment.
- Experience working in a clinical environment an undertaking a range of relevant clinical skills with proven competencies.
Desirable
- Experience working in the NHS
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Evidence of competence in relevant specialist skills or tasks
- Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities of a Clinical Support Worker
- Previous experience and training of manual handling patients using appropriate equipment
- Can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of promoting patient independence

- Able to provide support and reassurance to patients.
