An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Medical Resourcing Team within the Medicine Division at Arrowe Park Hospital. We are seeking a proactive and highly organised individual with strong administrative skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
As part of this busy and friendly team, you will play a key role in coordinating medical staffing and resourcing activities to ensure safe and effective service delivery across the Division. The role involves close working with a range of clinical and non-clinical colleagues, so strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
Full training will be provided, and you will be supported to develop the knowledge and skills required to excel in this role.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) substantive post. We would also welcome applications from candidates seeking a secondment opportunity.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will administratively support the Medicine Division in providing a high standard of medical cover/care with regard to all issues affecting medical staff cover and is responsible for initiating the necessary action in order to maintain service requirements. The post-holder is responsible for keeping accurate financial and attendance records and is expected to contribute to workforce planning.
The Medical Staffing Co-ordinator will be responsible for achieving a high standard of medical cover by the efficient deployment/maximisation of medical staff resources within the Division, by the concise allocation of duties for junior and middle grade doctors to ensure medical rota management issues are appropriately handled in accordance with Trust Policies and procedures, seeking advice and support as necessary. The post holder will report to their specified division.
