Job summary
Ward 18 is an acute multi-speciality surgical ward caring for ENT, Maxillofacial, colorectal, urology, general and emergency surgery patients.
We are currently growing our team and are looking for both newly qualified and experienced nurses to join us. We offer excellent support with experienced mentors to those who are newly qualified. To experienced nurses, we offer the opportunity to develop and utilise their clinical skills. We offer training in tracheostomy care, stoma care, wound management, TPN and PICC line management. We encourage and support ongoing learning and development within the role.

Main duties of the job
- Assessment, planning and delivery of care for a caseload of patients.
- Liaise with all members of the multi disciplinary team and act as patient advocate to ensure high standards of care are achieved.
- Support and supervise junior staff and students with the education and development
- Assist in the day to day management of the Ward, ensuring standards are met.
