Are you an experienced Midwife with a passion for improving services for women and their families accessing our Fetal Medicine Unit.

Do you have a passion for High Risk antenatal care ?

Wirral University Teaching Hospital (WUTH) arelooking for an enthusiastic and motivated Midwife with significant clinical experience in Midwifery and Obstetric Ultrasound to provide leadership and service implementation within maternity services.

You will need to have experience of change management and successful service implementation and be confident and competent in High Risk care .

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have a standard/enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 month. As this vacancy is within the division of Womens and Childrens, there is a mandatory requirement for successful applicants to join the DBS update service. The cost of joining the update service is £13 per year, and applicants are liable to cover this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust. Further details of how to join the update service will be provided upon appointment.

  • Registered Midwife currently on the NMC register
  • Relevant Diploma/Degree
  • Evidence of ongoing dynamic continuing professional development within the speciality linked to demonstrable clinical competencies
  • Assessing and mentoring qualification
  • Obstetric scanning qualification

Desirable

  • Master's degree or evidence of recent study at Level 7

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Recent experience at Band 6
  • Experience in all areas of midwifery
  • Detailed knowledge of maternity IT systems
  • Proven experience of working in an environment with a range of IT infrastructures
  • IT literate
