- Providing expert pharmaceutical support to our respiratory wards.
- Contributing to specialist severe asthma clinics.
- Supporting our Highly Specialist Respiratory Pharmacist.
- Managing pathways and governance for high-cost respiratory drugs.
- Working collaboratively within a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
- Working with our Medicines Value Lead Pharmacist with ongoing projects.
You will be expected to integrate into the multidisciplinary team alongside clinicians, nursing colleagues, advanced nurse practitioners and pharmacy staff to deliver the highest quality pharmaceutical care for our patients.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with pharmacy, nursing, medical and management teams, you will have the following responsibilities.

Reviewing patients with acute and chronic complex respiratory needs as an integral part of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).

Developing, implementing, and monitoring evidence-based prescribing guidelines and care pathways.

Providing financial monitoring and reporting on drug expenditure, including high-cost therapies.

Supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of pharmacy services with homecare projects

Supporting the training and education of pharmacists, MMTs and other healthcare professionals

Championing the medicines optimisation and safety agenda

Participating in clinical audit and practice research

Collaborating with other system organisations
