We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and technically capable individual to join the 3rd line Team within IT Services as IT Senior Support Technician working within the Server & Security team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a background in Windows, Linux Servers and Physical/Virtual Infrastructure with a passion for implementing and developing key infrastructure improvements to the trust.
The successful post holder will have a key role in the delivery and support of Server Infrastructure, Desktop Environments and Cyber Security Prevention across the Trust during a period of increased upgrade programmes throughout the trust at both Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals.
Ability to drive and access to a vehicle is required with this position as support will cover multi-site in / out of hours.
Main duties of the job
- Provide practical advice and support to users of IT systems.
- Provide support and advise of Server and Infrastructure systems.
- Provide project support for Infrastructure projects.
- Installation of Hardware, Server, Infrastructure and Software.
- Repairs and maintenance of end user IT equipment.
- Documentation of procedures and all activity.
- IT Project Management support.
- Administrate clinical and non-clinical applications and clinical network integrated devices.
- Provide specialist IT Relationship management with departments and wards.
- Take the lead on specific project tasks under the management of Senior Support Specialists and other senior Digital Healthcare personal such as project managers or senior team.
- Take the day-to-day lead with regards to communication and escalation for defined clinical or administrative locations.

- Must have relevant technical degree or equivalent qualification or relevant experience in an technical support role
Desirable
- Microsoft Certified Professional - Associate in Desktop or Infrastructure

- Prince 2 or ITIL Foundation Qualification
