Job summary

We are seeking a Deputy Chief Nurse to collaborate with, and deputise for, the Chief Nurse, across the Chief Nurse portfolio, to inspire a talented Senior Team in leading and supporting our nursing, midwifery and AHP workforce, to deliver compassionate services and continue to seek innovative ways to improve the experience and outcomes for our patients, their families and our colleagues.

Main duties of the job

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the biggest and busiest acute NHS trusts in the Northwest, with a budget of circa £500 million and providing a full range of acute healthcare services across the peninsula.

The successful candidate will have several years' experience of working at a senior level within the NHS and will be able to demonstrate recent leadership experience within a busy acute setting and have a proven track record of achieving targets and objectives. You will have expert knowledge of clinical and quality improvement, supporting development of system-wide transformational change, and delivery of strategic priorities.
