Although English and Maths at level 2 is not required for the role, it is a requirement to complete the apprenticeship and need to be in place by the end of the apprenticeship. If you do not hold or cannot evidence English and Maths at level 2 then support will be provided for the successful applicant(s) as part of the Trust's apprenticeship offer.
Whilst this role is being advertised as a permanent position, there is an expectation that the successful applicant must complete all elements of the apprenticeship. Initially, the successful applicant will be placed on a fixed term apprenticeship contract for the duration of the programme. Upon completion of the apprenticeship and providing all additional milestones are met, the successful applicant will be issued a permanent contract.
Main duties of the job
The Radiology directorate has a vacancy for Radiology Clerical officer to perform clerical duties including Reception, scheduling appointments both electronically and via telephone, liaising with patients and other Trust staff in the clerical offices across 4 sites.
The candidate must be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work as part of a team or individually to meet strict deadlines.
The main roles will be to schedule appointments for X-Ray, Ultrasound, MRI, Fluoroscopy and C.T. using the Trust's I.T system. The applicants must have an excellent communication skills, telephone manner, and ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines with accurate I.T skills.
The post holder will be required to work with patients verbally over the telephone ensuring accurate information is communicated in a clear empathetic manner.
The candidate must be able to manage their workloads and be flexible to work in any area as the service demands across the four sites.
Working Hours are between Mondays - Sunday 07:15 - 19:15 inclusive of Bank Holidays
