Care Group Support Officer - Medicine
The Division of Medicine are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide comprehensive business and administrative support to the Care Group Management Team ensuring effective performance monitoring, service development and operational delivery.
The successful candidate will have experience of 18-Week Referral to Treatment wait list management, management of outpatient performance, preparing high-quality reports, dashboards and presentations along with the ability to extract and analyse data from a variety of sources. Good communication and organisational skills are essential in order to arrange and participate in meetings and liaise with clinicians and stakeholders.

Main duties of the job
To support the Care Group Management by inputting and extracting data from a number of sources in the development of dashboards, reports and updates relating to the 18 week RTT
Monitor the Care Group PTL on a daily basis
Monitor the application of booking rules for outpatient sessions and ensure optimal utilisation of capacity
Liaise and develop relationships with the access team to support and manage patient pathways within agreed national and local waiting times.
Interpret the PTL and identify data quality issues
Interpret the PTL and identify any capacity issues
Support the Care Group Management team by liaising with clinicians to develop actions to address 18 week RTT risks
To support the Care Group Management team in developing capacity and demand models for clinical specialties
Support the Care Group Management team in the development of service reviews and subsequent service redesign.
Liaise with clinicians to ensure continuity of service and implementation of agreed local, trust wide and national protocols and procedures.

In addition, you will be required to ensure that processes within the care group pathways and quality indicators are being met. This will involve working with various levels of personnel in order to ensure that deadlines are met. The post holder will also be required to ensure that robust escalation processes are in place to assist with the delivery/sustainability of performance targets/standards within areas of responsibility and ensure that teams are aware of their responsibilities in relation to adhering to such processes.
