Band 5 Paediatric Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
We have an exciting opportunity for Band 5 Paediatric Staff nurses to join our supportive and motivated team of fantastic paediatric nurses in the Emergency Department.

The department is supported by designated Practice Development Nurses and a dynamic team of Clinical Practitioners who will support you in developing your knowledge and skills including PILS, NLS, EPALS, Cannulation & Phlebotomy, Plastering, Wound care and minor injuries
We have recently opened our new urgent and emergency care treatment centre which has included a co-located Paediatric assessment unit. This is a great benefit to our children attending ED, we have a close working relationship offering enhanced support.
Main duties of the job
To provide the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care as required within the EmergencyDepartments Paediatric Service.
Demonstrate effective communication skills both verbal and non verbal
Is able to identify the psychological, social, physical and cultural needs ofchildren and their families and acts, with guidance, to meet their needs.
Works in partnership with patients and their carers in decision making,ensuring their views are taken into account.
Is able to recognise own limitations to practice guided by the NMC CodeConduct, Scope of Professional Practice, Trust Policies and Procedures
Demonstrate high standards in record keeping.
