Job summary
We are looking to recruit Catering Assistants within Walsall Manor Hospital to support our temporary staffing team; this team work on a flexible basis and we are able to offer varied hours and days to suit your availability. There roles cover working hours Monday through to Sunday, mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, at both the Manor Hospital and Holly bank House.
Main duties of the job
Our Catering team play a key role in providing meal service to our patient's, providing meals 365 days per year which includes weekends and Bank Holidays.
The role involves a wide range of catering duties including, cleanings of he department, food preparation, distribution of food items to wards and departments and working in the Cafe/Shop. Working at our Satellite Unit at Holly bank House, Catering assistants are responsible for providing safe and nutritious meals for patients and staff.
You would also be responsible for cleaning premises and equipment, and maintaining cleaning standards.
Working as part of a team, you will need to be motivated,enthusiasticandcommittedto the role. It is important that you are a clear communicator as the position doesrequire you tocommunicatewith the ward teams, patients, colleagues and our contractors on a daily basis.
