Job summary
The postholder will work in coproduction with Maternity and Neonatal services across the LMNS to produce a System wide strategy for the delivery of Professional Nurse and Midwifery Advocacy [PNA & PMA]. This strategy should include equity of access, working on cross cover, community of practice networks, restorative practice, professional support, space for individual and group reflection, and working in collaboration with health and wellbeing teams across the Integrated Care System [ICS].
This postholder will use the A-EQUIP (Advocating for Education and Quality Improvement) approach to support all PNA and PMAs to improve system performance and the experiences of Nurses, Midwives and those they care for. This also includes supporting the professional development of PNA and PMA's and support the provision of frontline professional mentorship, as outlined in key national policy such as national frameworks for Nursing and Midwifery preceptorship.
Reporting progress against objectives will be a key part of the role, this will include presenting an overview at various LMNS boards, ICS meetings and wider as required. This will require the postholder to demonstrate advanced communication, presentation, and data collection skills.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across the LMNS/ICB/ICS, including but not limited to: -

- Represent the Black Country LMNS/ICS at relevant forums, meetings and events.
